We have always photographed high school seniors in the Akron-Canton area but this year we are working to boost to our senior business as it is one of our favorite types of sessions.  It’s been a ton of fun and we have added lots of fun surprises such as complimentary hair and makeup for the girls.  Today though, I’d like to introduce a local high school senior that will be working with us this year.

I met Hailey after a recommendation from her teacher.  I was immediately impressed with her driven spirit and positive attitude.

World meet Hailey.

Can you tell us a little about yourself?
My name is Hailey and I’m currently a senior.  I take some classes at Kent State University and plan on attending there next year full-time. I enjoy writing, drinking lots of tea, and acting in my school’s drama club. I’ve been a vegetarian for ten years and still consider chocolate a main food group.

What kinds of places do you like to hang out?
You can usually find me at Panera spending too much money on bagels, at Starbucks spending too much money on chai tea, or some over-priced clothing store spending too much money. Sometimes you’ll see me at Fred Martin Nissan, my place of employment, making not enough money.

What types of articles will you be sharing with other high school students this year?
I’ll be sharing articles showcasing the talent of local students and their accomplishments. Whether they’re on stage delivering a monologue or on the court shooting foul shots, I’ll be there to make sure they get the recognition they deserve, and maybe get a few funny anecdotes out of them.

We are working hard to redefine beauty here at Amy Lyn Photography.  You can view Project Beautiful hereWhat is beauty to you?
In my own words, beauty is confidence. Beauty is believing you’re good enough to wear that dress or get that job. It’s knowing that you could gain or lose ten pounds and it won’t make you any more or less amazing. Beauty is seeing yourself in the mirror and looking past the disheveled ponytail and flabby stomach and knowing that those things don’t matter as long as you’re good enough for you. It’s being happy with yourself even if other people aren’t.

Thanks Hailey.  I can’t wait to see what you share with us this year.
