Bryan & Jennifer’s Amazingly Beautiful Engagement Session
I think I can say that Bryan & Jennifer may have had one of the most beautiful sessions I’ve ever been a part of. The Bird Sanctuary, mixed with some amazing sunlight, and of course this couple created a perfect storm where everywhere we looked it was gorgeous. We did have to work for it…it was a bit of a hike. But, wow, was it beautiful.
Bryan and Jen met at the hospital where they both work in the E.R. This winter, he asked her to marry him at the Audubon Bird Sanctuary in Aurora. So, we hiked back to the scene to capture them and the bench where it all happened. (Of course, it was a little warmer this time.)
I have been playing with video a bit lately. I won’t be offering professional videos or anything but it’s been fun to play with and mix it up a bit. I am very excited to share this one of Bryan & Jennifer with the world. Check it out below…it’s short and worth it.
Thanks so much to Tara for her amazing makeup talents and for operating the camera for the video.

Mike & Ashley’s Colorful Fall Engagement Session
I have known Mike’s (amazing) mom for a couple years through a Bible Study. But I never had the pleasure of meeting either Mike or Ashley until just this month. And, it really was such a pleasure.
In some ways, they’ve grown up together. They met in junior high and started dating when Ashley entered high school. Mike was a little older but not much. I think if you can survive high school, you can pretty much survive anything. And these two did it together. I think that’s what makes them so good together…they’ve already had seven years to grow together.
We met at Mike’s grandparent’s property…and it was gorgeous! I think we hit the perfect week for the autumn trees. I’m not sure the color could have been any better. See what I mean…
Stephanie & Lorenzo’s Park Engagement Session
I hadn’t met either Lorenzo or Stephanie until the engagement session. We’d emailed a bit but never had the chance to meet. Stephanie explained that sometimes her smiles seems false to others in photographs. They may be true other times but not this day. I immediately learned the secret to Stephanie’s genuine smile…Lorenzo. One look at his face and she’d light up. He’d whisper something in her ear and she would laugh out loud. I’ve never seen them apart from each other but in my short time with them, I am convinced they are better together.
I love this last one. I think it’s more than just a fun photo but a glimpse into their lives as they leap into this next chapter. Stephanie & Lorenzo will be married in less than two weeks and I am honored to be there to capture all of it.
