The Basic Digital Photography Class You Have All Been Waiting for

MARCH DATES ANNOUNCED.  SATURDAYS IN MARCH (3, 10, 17, 24, 31) 9-11 AM. SIGN UP HERE.

I have been asked several times to offer a photography class in the Akron area for non-pros to learn to use their camera.  This summer’s Photography 101 Class at Mogadore Library was a hit and there were requests from a few people to have something with even more depth.

This will be a great class for anyone who has an online business such as selling on etsy or ebay, a blog,  or anyone who simply wants better photos of their family.  We will learn how to photograph objects and stills as well as people.  Exposure is key knowledge in both.

Class size will be limited to 10 students.  The cost is only $199 for all 5 weeks.

You will learn:

  • Basic exposure (i.e. How to use those complicated settings on your camera)
  • Looking for light
  • Lens overview
  • Composition
  • File formats
  • Photographing objects for etsy, ebay, or blogging (Increase your site traffic through sites like Pinterest!)
  • And more.  Much more.

You will receive:

  • Tons of knowledge, of course.
  • Free headshots taken by Amy Lyn – Fun for Facebook or other web use
  • A digital copy of the material we cover
  • A 20 minute photo review (or camera help if you prefer) one-on-one with Amy
  • An invitation to Amy Lyn’s private Facebook group for alumni where you can ask questions, see each other’s latest photos, and be updated on sales and specials
  • $50 off a photography session with Amy Lyn
You will need:
  • Your camera and manual (SLR cameras highly recommended but not required by any means)
  • A notebook
  • 10 of your favorite photos that you’ve taken (either printed or in digital format)
  • A great attitude  🙂
