Ed & Missie’s Ohio State Wedding

They were supposed to go out with a group but somehow found they were the only ones who showed.  After realizing they would be alone, Ed & Missie headed to the park to talk somewhere a little quieter.  Sitting at a picnic table a drizzle began to fall.  Neither wanted to leave, so they spent the next hour or so sitting in the rain, talking.  That was the start of it all and I was thrilled to share in their latest beginning last month.

When I met Ed & Missie, they explained that they were planning a wedding that was elegant and fun.  They had decided on an Ohio State theme with a sophisticated  twist.  Everything from their colors, favors, and even flowers echoed their vision.  (Check out the buckeye in the girls’ flowers by Nikki’s Perfect Petal Designs.  Are they cool or what?)

Some of my favorite moments were the bridal party’s trip to Legend’s to watch a bit of the game, guests singing at the reception, and a candy table with “O” shaped chocolate.  Of course, anything with chocolate would get me.

The wedding vendors who helped make it all possible:

Ceremony Location: Queen of Heaven

Reception Location: Chenoweth Banquet Hall

Florist: Nikki’s Perfect Petal Designs

Cake Artist: Cakes & Confections by Rebecca

Musician: Main Attractions with Kevin Laubert

Hair Stylist: Razor’s Edge
