Mama said there’d be days like this…

Really? How can a day be so completely frustrating?

Mistake #1: Two doctors appointments scheduled at two different offices on the same day.

We had two all out fits by the time the second appointment came about. (No, these are not little mini fits. These are “screaming-at-the-top of-her-lungs-for-10-15-minutes-while-everyone-around-either-glares-or-looks-on-me-with-pity” fits).

Excuse the bad phone pictures.

Mistake #2: Trying to run errands in between said appointments.

We had an all out war over who could hold the vitamins. No, seriously, a war. And yes, just vitamins.

Mistake #3: Two Children + One Shot Each + No Backup=Disaster.

This one didn’t start off so bad. I told Zeke in the office that he would need a shot and he seemed to handle it so bravely.

“Wow, this is going to be easier than I thought,” I naively said to myself.

Then all of a sudden, he yelled, “You mean today?” And it was all over folks. I was left with two screaming children. I held each one down as they fought me. I attempted to comfort each one as they screamed. I struggled to walk out holding/dragging each one while one insisted that he couldn’t walk because his leg was in so much pain and the other sobbed.

Someday it might be funny. Today, not so much.

It’s not all bad though. My window is open and the sun is shining. We are healthy. 50% of my children are taking a nap right now. Josh will be home semi-early today (closer to 6 than 7). I’ve got four great sessions to share with you (as soon as I get each one edited.) And tomorrow will be a brand new day.
