Goals for 2011

If you read my post about starting this new photography studio then you know my life is changing quite a bit for 2011.  But the changes are good–I believe for everyone involved–for me, my family, and my clients.  I hope you all agree.  🙂

As I look forward to this year there are some goals that I have.  I hope that you all can help me reach them.

  • I would like to publish my photographs in a minimum of 5 blogs or print publications this year.  (The exciting news is one wedding has already been accepted for publication.  I will keep you in the loop on that one!)
  • I am considering teaching a photography class for non-pros in the Akron area.  People share with me all the time that they have a great camera but just don’t know how to use it.  The class would go over basic photography and help people capture better photos with their SLR cameras.  Anyone interested?  I’m hoping for at least 10 people.
  • I am working on being certified by the Professional Photographic Certification Commission.  This is a difficult process and only 8% of professional photographers complete the process.  I want to do this for a few reasons but mostly I want to prove to myself that I can.  Wish me luck!
  • I would like to reach 150 subscribers to my newsletters this year.  I work really hard to produce good content that is helpful for my clients.  Please sign up below if you are interested.

And because of the thousands of requests for more photos of my kids….here’s Eden at a recent “Princess Party.”
